Clean and neatly maintained... Good for a picnic and even a little trout fishing.!

This is very nice park to spend your day. You can plan a barbecue. The place is very clean and well maintained. There is children play area as well as a playground for outdoor sports. There is a private lake as well which you can use by buying the entry passes.

Great hiking trails and some serious mountain bike trails. Also in the snow there is one of the most epic sledding hills in NJ :-)

This has become one of our favorite places because it is a lot cheaper than a water park and not crowded, with a pleasant sandy beach and shaded picnic tables. There are pedal boats, volley ball nets and of course the Wibit, the water obstacle course. Your child will have to pass a swimming test in order to be allowed on-they have to swim to the dock and back in the deep water area of the lake. Green, they can swim in the shallows only, orange band, they can swim anywhere, no band, they can swim with an adult in the shallows. Staff are very friendly and it has a really nice atmosphere for all ages. The walk around the lake is lovely, though paddling around in the boat is a lot harder. The water is a bit brown from run off from the forest peat soil and is used by ducks and other wildlife but they keep it quiet clean. If you fancy the beach but don't want to drive hours to the Jersey Shore and be stuck in traffic, this is a great option from Memorial Day to Labor Day every year

Wonderful to be back in the woods out East with the rocks and roots...
