Very small but informative display of artifacts from the Revolutionary War period, many relating to Washington. Includes a tour of Ford Mansion, which has been restored and furnished in the colonial style to show where and how Washington and his aides were housed during the winter of 1780.
Great history wonderful rangers. Makes me appreciate my way of life!
Excellent visit to the area. First was Jockey Hollow and Wick Farm, where the soldiers stayed, and then Ford home, which was headquarters. Well done.
It’s a lovely small exhibit but there is no entrance for my mom who needs wheelchair accessible. Seems rather strange that they wouldn’t have a ramp so someone with physical limitations can see the headquarter house- which is the main focus of the place.
Great trip for history buffs as well as those who should be! See the home Washington stayed in and used as his headquarters plus a visitor center with lots of info and artifacts. Basically 2 buildings here, but other sites are a few miles away. Video is very good explanation; Ford house tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable. All can be seen in a few hours here, but other sites can also been done on the same day.
